Not Happy (But Still Worthy)

Not Happy (But Still Worthy)

Author: Abirami P. Kurukkal

Life is a story. A celebration. A struggle. A different page in a different book to different people. Every moment we live is precious, irreversible, and very dear. This show talks about the very different lives we each live, and why it's okay if we're not happy all the damn time. Created and hosted by poet, author, writer and mental health activist Abirami P. Kurukkal, this podcast aims to spark honest conversations about what gives us meaning amid the madness of existence, and the reminder that we are still worthy of great things despite the loss, pain, and tragedy.

June, Grief, Dad's Death Anniversary and Why You're Still Worthy
Episode 2
Saturday, 20 June, 2020

This episode is not an episode but a monologue. A speech. A babbling away of thoughts, if you will. Today it's 7 years since my dad died and I am talking about it, along with everything else that's on my mind. I'm human. I'm a mess sometimes too. Life sucks a lot- but we can get through. If you are part of the club of grief, well then feel right at home. I can be unhinged and still function. I can feel like absolute crap and still save the world. It's hard. Everything is hard... NOTHING IS OKAY RIGHT NOW and that's okay. (NB: The sound quality may be a little bit off because I'm recording outdoors)
