Callum Rose: Collecting Original Prints
Episode 3
Tuesday, 15 February, 2022
Welcome back to the We Collect podcast! This episode features a recent conversation with printmaker, Callum Rose. Callum is currently undertaking an apprenticeship with Cambridge master-printmaker Kip Gresham and this talk was recorded as part of the Fen Ditton Gallery exhibition of Kip's work, The Language of Abstraction. The conversation focuses on The Quintet Portfolio, a new portfolio of five original prints that have been published to raise funds for Callum's apprenticeship. Callum gives us a fascinating insight into the behind-the-scenes of working at The Print Studio, Cambridge and how this portfolio came to be. The portfolio includes works by Willard Boepple, Stephen Chambers, Nigel Hall, Peter Randall-Page and Alison Wilding. More information about the portfolio and the works can be found here. The Language of Abstraction is currently open at Fen Ditton Gallery until Sunday 27th February. The Young Collectors is an informal meet-up group for new and early stage art collectors.
