Episode 19 - Jared Fessler
Episode 19
Saturday, 11 July, 2020

Jared Fessler is a former classmate of mine. We have shared stages for play and musical productions as well as choir and show-choir. He has known who he really is longer than probably anyone else I know, but finding a place to call "home" was an adventure he didn't realize he needed. Jared and I discuss mental health and taking care of yourself because nobody else is going to do it. He also goes into some of the difficulty and freedom that comes from being honest about who you are. As an openly gay man living in the exact middle of Small-Town USA, finding his truth in life was never the issue. Expressing himself did seem to have it's own hurdles. Jared is incredible open and wonderful to talk to and the conversation is worth the listen for anyone having issues coping with the COVID-19 lockdown or learning to express yourself and trust those who love you to accept what that means. Enjoy
