Welcome to Destination Healthcare, THE podcast to LEARN about YOUR favorite healthcare professionals. They will be sharing with you, their advice, insight, and lessons they’ve learned along the journey. Our guest today is my friend, Zachery Dereniowski, AKA THE MD MOTIVATOR (@MDMOTIVATOR) Freshman year he attained a 0.59 GPA and was required to withdraw. The Dean thereafter stated, “Zachary, maybe college isn’t right for you.” Zachary used this ultimate failure as ultimate fuel. He returned to college, completing his remaining studies with a 4.0 GPA and scored over a 510 on the MCAT on his first attempt. Now, as a medical student at the highly regarded University of Sydney, he wants to continue to help educate, empower, and mentor driven students wanting to maximize their medical school aspirations. He is one of the most motivational and knowledgeable people I know. And I am absolutely honored to call him a friend.
