The Things My Eating Disorder Taught MeAuthor: Callie Martin
Hi, my name is Callie, and I've created this podcast to share with you all the things I learned about myself and about life from my eating disorder. It's been one of my greatest teachers so far. It's time to dissolve the "taboo" nature of eating disorders, and get to the root of why we have them, what they're here to tell us, and how we can liberate ourselves from them. If you too have found yourself caught in the cycle of disordered eating, my goal here is to offer you a new perspective from which to view your behaviors. Not as something that is happening TO you, but as something that is happening FOR you. By listening to these episodes, I hope to empower and motivate you to take responsibility for your self and start making positive changes to create greater health and happiness :) Join me! Cultivating a Neutral Mind
Friday, 8 October, 2021
When I developed a neutral mind regarding the way I viewed my eating disorder, everything shifted. Whereas I used to view my eating disorder as something that I had no control over, now I know that's it's only something that exists to guide me. To help me look at what needs to released so that something better can come into my life. Developing a neutral mind will help you move out of judgement and into acceptance, out of fear and into love. As noted in the episode, I recommend looking into the polyvagal theory to learn more about nervous system regulation, as well as look up @the.holistic.psychologist on Instagram to learn more about self-soothing techniques!
