The Huntington Library is a premier center for post-doctoral scholarship in the antebellum and Civil War eras. It is also one of the premier repositories of Lincolnianamanuscripts, books, letters, and ephemera by and about our 16th president. In 1914 and 1922, Henry Huntington purchased two of what were known as the Big Five collections of Lincolniana. The Huntington continues to build on those collections through gifts and purchases.
