Who Really Runs the Church? | The Conversation
Episode 5
Friday, 4 September, 2026
In Episode 5 of The Conversation, Brad Cauley talks with Elder Leslie Louis, President of the Carolina Conference, about church structure, servant leadership, unity, mission, and why the Seventh-day Adventist Church is organized the way it is.Together, they explore how the church functions from the local congregation to the worldwide church, why conferences, unions, divisions, and the General Conference work together, and how documents like the Church Manual, Working Policy, constitution and bylaws help provide accountability, consistency, and mission focus. This episode reminds us that church structure is not about titles or control — it is about service, unity, and fulfilling the mission Jesus gave His church.
