🎥 Latest Oncology News Six major Phase III readouts with new survival data are in focus from ESMO Congress 2026.In this edition of Oncology Updates from ONCOassist, Dr. Stephanie Haddad, Hematology/Oncology Fellow and Academic Chief Fellow at UT Health San Antonio/Mays Cancer Center, covers new results across pancreatic, gastric, breast and lung cancers.🔹 Metastatic Pancreatic Cancer: New subgroup data from RASolute 302 showed median overall survival of 13.2 months with daraxonrasib versus 6.7 months with chemotherapy, representing a 60% reduction in the risk of death.🔹 CLDN18.2+ Gastric/GEJ Cancer: Phase III G-HOPE-001 evaluating arcotatug tavatecan versus chemotherapy met both primary endpoints. Median OS was 10.2 versus 6.9 months, while median PFS was 7.1 versus 3.1 months.🔹 HR+/HER2− Early Breast Cancer: Six-year NATALEE data showed ribociclib plus endocrine therapy reduced the risk of death by approximately 19% (HR 0.809), with the invasive disease-free survival benefit growing to 5.3 percentage points at six years.🔹 Extensive-Stage SCLC: Phase III DeLLphi-305 evaluated durvalumab plus tarlatamab as first-line maintenance versus durvalumab alone. The combination reduced the risk of death by 58%, with median OS of 21.1 versus 12.7 months.🔹 MET-Driven EGFR-Mutated NSCLC: In SAFFRON, osimertinib plus savolitinib reduced the risk of progression or death by 45% and the risk of death by 32% versus chemotherapy following progression on osimertinib.🔹 KRAS G12C-Mutated NSCLC: Krascendo 1 directly compared divarasib with sotorasib or adagrasib in previously treated disease.
