Golf Is Hard and Purdue Pitcher Austin Klug
Tuesday, 3 March, 2026
Golf can be hard at the Cognizant Classic, Alex goes to another PopStroke, and Purdue Boilermaker Austin Klug joins the podcast. The golf gods did not smile on Shane Lowry at the Cognizant Classic as he dunked two in the water to give up the win. The Seminole Pro-Member tournament is a crazy member-professional that usually includes Tiger Woods. But his absence is making Alex weary of future golfing prospects this season. The LPGA stayed in Asia for the HBC Women's World Championship, where Australian Hannah Green finished with bogeys but was still able to hold on to win. The DP World Tour stayed in Africa, where Casey Jarvis got his second win in a row in South Africa. Alex is enjoying the warmer Texas weather is went down to San Antonio to check out that city's PopStroke, where he enjoyed the golf and the vibes. Michael, meanwhile, is getting ready for St Patrick's Day by checking out Savannah's Slithering. In Tuned In, Alex is watching the "new" "Scrubs," while Michael is telling us to avoid "We Always Lived In The Castle." This week's guest is Purdue Boilermaker Austin Klug. The Senior Pitcher chats with Alex about why pitchers are better golfers, plus the state of his golf game when he isn't on the mound. Alex gives us his weekly college basketball update, including the only remaining unbeaten team in D-I. Michael gives us a college hockey update (well, an alma mater update) as the boy's Quinnipiac Bobcats clinch their sixth straight regular season conference title. Alex gets Michael's take on the new pitch challenge system in baseball and how the umps keep getting it wrong, plus if the World Baseball Classic is worth it. As the guys #AlwaysEndWithFood, Alex is checking out a new Buc-ees item ever time he visits one, and Michael doesn't understand a regional food item some Savannahians find "good."
