This is “The Hospital Podcast”. I am Dr. Fernandez Falcon, Medical Director of the Family Medicine Hospital Service, and Associate Program Director of the Family Medicine Residency Program of the Department of Family & Community Medicine from UT Health San Antonio. The objective of each episode is to address a topic relevant for inpatient care in a format accessible to physicians and mid-level practitioners in training and in practice. I draw the material for these podcasts from several sources (textbooks, publications, and point-of-care tools), and I make every attempt to refer to the most current and validated Evidence Based Medicine, and to offer a practical and concise approach. I have no actual or potential, personal or professional, conflicts of interest in relationship to the topics that will be discussed in the podcast. The views and opinions expressed herein are mine alone, and do not necessarily reflect those of the Family Medicine Hospital Service, the Family Medicine Residency Program, the Department of Family & Community Medicine, or UT Health San Antonio. I sincerely hope you find this resource useful in caring for your hospitalized patients. Dr. Cristian Fernandez Falcon, MD DABFM CAQGM CAQHPM Associate Professor, Clinical Medical Director, Family Medicine Hospital Service (FMHS) Associate Program Director, Family Medicine Residency Program Department of Family & Community Medicine, UT Health San Antonio
