Send us a textThe Reykjavík Grapevine has been published out of downtown Reykjavík for more than 20 years, with its offices for most of that time next door to the "World Famous Hot Dog Stand." Every day, people drop-in to our office for various reasons. Sometimes we they tell us interesting stuff that we want to share with you, so we interview them, for your pleasure. There is no theme.Today we are joined by Páll Óskar and Benni Hemm Hemm two veterans of the Icelandic music scene, who just released an album together called "Alveg" and were featured on the cover of The Reykjavík Grapevine this September. In this two hour long interview with discuss an array of topics, amongst them how their collaboration works, the connection that live music provides for both performers and audiences, their musical influences, creative processes and lyrical inspirations along with activism, politics, protests, identity and class.
