Bill Maiden has lived an extraordinary American life. Born into a coal miner's family, Bill was raised by sharecroppers who taught him the value of hard work, while his mother made sure he knew the love of God. Bill is a trailblazer. He was among the first African-Americans to serve in the United States Marine Corps, ultimately receiving the Congressional Medal of Honor.
