Episode 103: Incomprehensibly Funky

2025 has already been a banner year for new music, at least as far as I'm concerned, and we're not even at the halfway point. As I'm one of the only music critics listening to all the musics, I speak with knowledge that the continent of Africa, closely followed by Central and South America are the drivers of great music right now. It's a sad time for rock music and by default white people who make and listen to rock music. If you want white music I would refer you to heavy metal which works for non brunch white folks but that genre while reviled by the upper classes is global and there are heavy metal outfits all over the globe.Episode 103 features two records from Africa, one from Latin America, one from punkers and a heavy metal record by an outfit called Warbringer. The last track by Azuka Moweta inspired the title of Episode 103, Incomprehensibly Funky. I would urge folks to check out more than the 2 minute excerpt featured here, it's just a taste of how the whole record goes.
