Please visit us at the Chewonki Foundation's Sustainability Office, if you would like to know more about our renewable energy projects, which include: solar thermal, geothermal, biodiesel, a hydrogen electrolyzer and fuel cell backup system, photovoltaics, biomass, and (coming soon!) tidal and wind power.We have all of these systems installed on our campus. They serve the dual purpose of reducing our carbon footprint, as well as acting as educational tools to support our mission - environmental awareness.If you are in the neighborhood, please feel free to contact us for a tour of our renewable energy systems - which we can tailor to most age groups. We also have free posters on Renewable Energy, Sustainable Food, and Clean Water which we mail to schools free of charge.
