Tell Craig Your Story

Author: Craig Maguire

Thank you for listening to the podcast. I had the idea for the podcast a while ago to talk to people who I have met in my travels, about their inspiring and amazing lives. I remember always going to see Henry Rollins do his spoken word tours and being inspired about his stories and life motto. Travel the world, be creative- play music, draw or paint. Have an opinion but respect others, keep fit and healthy. Born in Newcastle Australia now living in Shanghai China.

Episode 216
Tuesday, 27 October, 2026

🤘 Tell Craig Your Story – Metal podcast with Kristine Degtyaryuk! Please welcome my guest Kristine Degtyaryuk, who was born in Russia and moved to Shanghai 12 years ago to pursue a career in modelling and acting. But her real passion? METAL! 🤘 Starting out listening to bands like Slipknot and System of a Down, Kristine eventually discovered Shanghai’s metal scene. These days, you can often find her right up on the rail at metal shows, supporting the bands and bringing the energy! She’s also part of Metal Crew Shanghai, where you can connect with fellow metalheads through their WeChat and Instagram groups. In this episode, we talk about her first metal show, the Arch Enemy gig we attended, I Am Morbid, the latest single from Litium, and all the upcoming metal shows hitting Shanghai. If you love metal and want to know more about Shanghai’s growing metal scene, this episode is for you! 🤘 Follow Kristine Instagram: @degtyaryuk @metalcrewshanghai 🎸 Follow Tell Craig Your Story 📺 YouTube: https://www.youtube.com/@tellcraigyourstory 📸 Instagram: @tellcraigyourstorypodcast 🌐 Linktree: https://linktr.ee/tellcraigyourstory #TellCraigYourStory #Metal #ShanghaiMetal #MetalCrewShanghai #Slipknot #SystemOfADown #ArchEnemy #IAmMorbid #Metallica #Metalheads #Jinjer #SuicideSilence #LornaShore
