In my second interview at Sherwood Forest Faire, I speak with one of the founders and owners, George Appling. George's charmed life and career started in El Campo, TX. He then graduated from A&M and then pursued post-graduate work at Harvard. Soon after, he found himself traveling the world spending month in Russia, Europe, Austalia and more. Amazingly, no matter where he was or what he was doing, he always found a way to make a fall pilgrimage for a weekend at the Texas Renaissance, he did this for 38 years! And then an opportunity allowed him to become a founding partner in Sherwood Forest Faire. Sixteen years later his family, dreams, and passions are flourishing.
