One Former College Soccer Player's Purpose to Help Support Student Athletes
Friday, 24 April, 2026
This week on Cleared off the Line...A story of struggle, coming to terms and coming back.Tyler Ingle played college soccer like thousands of other skilled youth players. He started over fresh at the next level, but took some personal mental health challenges with him.During his time in the NCAA ranks, he became the first male athlete to publish an article about his mental health on "The Hidden Opponent."At one point, Tyler left the game all together to finish his degree, then flirted with a coaching career, before winding up working for multiple professional soccer clubs as a front office member across multiple leagues. That time on the other side of the game was just as challenging for his mental stability, but that (and every other experience) is what got him to where he is today.Tyler is the youngest assistant commissioner in the NCAA at the Atlantic East Conference, where he oversees thousands of student-athletes that walk in the shoes he once had on.A full circle moment and more ahead on the show.
