Episode 115 - Great South Run Chat with Ally Jones
Episode 115
Friday, 16 October, 2026
On this episode of the show I am joined by one of Portsmouth's local running legends, and loveliest all round gentleman Ally Jones. Ally is a member of City of Portsmouth Athletics Club and this year has agreed to put aside other running goals and pace a large group to try and meet their target pace.Ally and I have run together for a number of years and it was really great to eventually get him onto the show to chat about the most exciting running weekend in our diaries here in Portsmouth. The 2026 edition is going to be a grand weekend full of some brilliant results, stories and dramas no doubt. On top of that we also help promote the upcoming Victory 5 - the 80th edition of a legendary race which is taking place in November this year. Details all in this episode of the show.Lots of running love from Dan and Dave x
