Live Like You're on Vacation: Francisca & Antonio Alonso on Wellness by Design
Friday, 2 October, 2026
What if your home could do more than give you a place to live? What if it could help reduce stress, improve sleep, encourage movement, strengthen relationships, and support your overall well-being?On this episode of Tech Talk Healthcare, Brad Cost and Dr. Jay Greenstein sit down with architects and builders Francisca and Antonio Alonso, founders of AV Architects + Builders, to explore the connection between architecture, technology, health, and wellness.Francisca and Antonio explain how they approach home design around the way people actually want to live, including natural light, outdoor access, views, exercise spaces, social connection, and what they call a “wellness wing.”They also share their entrepreneurial journey, from meeting in architecture school and raising four children to building their own design-build company, why they eventually became their own builders, and what they learned about entrepreneurship along the way.The conversation explores their philosophy of “live like you're on vacation” and why you don't need a massive budget to create a home that supports your health and lifestyle. They also discuss their upcoming book, Vacation Style Living: Design a Home That Builds Wellbeing, Connects Families, and Reduces Stress. To connect with Francisca and Antonio, you can call their office at 703-865-5056 or visit their website avarchitectsbuild.com to schedule a discovery call.
