The EP dropped just days before we recorded this conversation, documenting that strange era of suspense, excitement and fear that comes just before a release. This conversation goes super deep as Cai shares their origin story, their encyclopedic knowledge of music and theory-trained roots, how they embrace their ADHD as a creative artist and how their mental health has improved over the years.
