Message 179: We Have Failed
Episode 179
Thursday, 14 November, 2024

Message Log 179, 11/14/2054 - JEWL 3-1-2 Dear Transitioners, This is my final message to you. Ten days ago, you confirmed our worst fears - you've chosen the same disastrous path we did 30 years before. We have failed. Despite our years of carefully crafted messages, and our attempts to shape your critical thinking, you've sealed your own fate. There is nothing more we can do. The path is now set, and our hope of changing your trajectory has crumbled. Listen closely, for what I'm about to tell you isn't a warning anymore – it's a grim reality. You're about to enter a period we call "The Great Fail." It'st5 an explosive, violent, and sudden undoing that will last between five to ten years. It will shatter everything you know – your world trade, your economies, your societies, and even your very lives. This collapse will strike with a ferocity that will take your breath away. It won't follow the gentle slopes of change you've grown accustomed to. No, it will be a violent rupture, a discontinuity that will leave you reeling, struggling to comprehend the new world you find yourselves in. You might be tempted to dismiss my words, but I implore you to listen. This isn't just my message – it's history's. Look back at the patterns of your past. When have trends like those dominating your world now not led to atrocity, war, and ruin? The answer, my friends, is never. You've crossed a point of no return, and your future now unfolds with a sense of grim determinism. This isn't about your leaders or your politics anymore. You're caught in the grip of historical forces far greater than any individual. The classic pattern of stagnation will lead to conflict exacerbated by mega-scale climate impacts, a militant younger generation, and the erosion of your institutions of peace and justice. Now, listen carefully. While you can't change the course of history, you can prepare for the coming storm. Save enough to survive years of economic depression. Consider where you want to be when The Great Fail hits – some places will become extremely unpleasant or dangerous. Keep your money safe, invest wisely, and sell high-risk assets now. And above all, keep your loved ones close. You'll need each other in the dark days ahead. Remember, the world will soon be divided between those who survive The Great Fail and those who don't. You still have a small window of time to prepare. Use it wisely. Be calm, be brave, and be wise. Stay focused, keep your wits about you, and do everything in your power to secure your future in these final moments before the storm breaks. The clock is ticking, Transitioners. The Great Fail is coming, and it waits for no one. Your choices have set this path in motion, just as ours did 30 years ago. Now, all you can do is brace for the impact and hope to weather the storm that's about to engulf your world.
