Hello ya bunch of cuties! The Cooking GRRRL podcast is all about chefs and food forward people. We dive deep into the food scene in LA and (hopefully) around the country. We choose to have GRRRL in our name based on The Riot grrrl movement which is a subcultural movement that combines feminism, punk music, politics and NOW food. We talk about what inspires us, excites us and how food brings us together. This is a podcast of passion and a labor of love, I hope you all enjoy. This week we have a very special guest, Holland Pettingill!Holland is a private chef to the stars here in Los Angeles and prior to that has made a name for herself cooking at many legacy restaurants in the LA area. We talk about how she got into cooking, growing up in the outskirts of Los Angeles, persevering as a LGBTQ+ woman in the kitchen, what it's really like to work as a private chef and where to travel to (whenever that may be) for the best Ramen she's ever had (it's not where you think it is).
