Katie Pollock is an award-winning Australian playwright, screenwriter, dramaturg, editor, producer, and television development executive whose work spans theatre, radio, and screen.Her extensive body of work for the stage includes People Inside Me, Human Activity, Rough Trade—a solo work which she also performed—Normal, The Becoming, The Hansard Monologues (Age of Entitlement and A Matter of Public Importance), Blue Italian/Nil by Sea, The Blue Angel Hotel, A Quiet Night in Rangoon, A Girl Called Red, and numerous short plays, including contributions to The Curve, produced by Critical Stages.For radio, Katie has written Beetroot: a bloody journey through roots and belonging, Nil by Sea, Contact, O is for Oxygen, and Blue Italian. Her work has been produced by a diverse range of companies and organisations including the ABC, Apocalypse Theatre, Bakehouse Theatre/KXT, Canberra Youth Theatre, Casula Powerhouse, Critical Stages, Eastside FM, Hothouse Theatre, Merrigong Theatre, Museum of Australian Democracy, New Theatre, Newtown Theatre, Old 505 Theatre, Redline Productions, Seymour Centre, Site & Sound Festival, subtlenuance, Sydney Fringe Festival, Tamarama Rock Surfers, Theatre Works, and The Street.Alongside her writing career, Katie works as a dramaturg, editor, producer, and development executive for television, and is a co-director of The Wallace Co-op theatre collective.
