The Great Depression did not begin on Black Friday October 1929 - it began in the rural farm areas a few years before - the price of raising cotton and beef was beginning to exceede the prices the farmers could get- Thus a call for "Farm Relief" and i 1933 "Socialist" President Franklin D. Roosevelt, with his New Deal came to the rescue..literaly saving the farm - we will play some cool topical recordings address just this issue ( plus the usual assortment of other cool stuff!)
