Whether it's asking for more tests at the doctor's office, standing up for your parenting choices with friends and family, or holding fast to your faith during turbulent storms - moms are the backbone of many families. Today's guest knows, maybe more than most, how to stand up for and fight for her kids.Joslynn Jarrett-Skelton's dream of performing on Broadway took an unexpected turn when, during her junior year of college, she became pregnant and embraced motherhood as a single mom at 20. Despite the challenges, Joslynn continued college and focused on building her career. She got married in 2007 to Andrew Skelton and her passion for community service led her to the non-profit sector, where she became the youngest Executive Director ever hired by the YMCA. However, her greatest passion grew after the birth of her third daughter, who was born with a serious heart condition requiring multiple open-heart surgeries. Joslynn became a four-time published author and traveled across the U.S., teaching children about love, acceptance, and resilience, sharing her story of hope and strength.
