This week 'The Israel Connexion' was probing into a very prominent anti-Israel report in a way that hasn't been done by other media that have accepted it on face value because it has the imprimatur of the United Nations. Moreover, the amount of copious detail in the report has meant that the onus of doing a proper analysis of its content has been very daunting and so the response to it has largely been superficial. I was moderating a rare discussion bringin together two opposing sides to consider the allegations against Israel by the Independent International Commission on the Occupied Palestinian Territory, including East Jerusalem, and Israel (COI). ππ‘π«π’π¬ ππ’ππ¨ππ’, a COI commissioner who is an Australian expert on international human rights law, a lawyer and advocate, a former Human Rights Commissioner, and a former commissioner of the Australian Law Reform Commission debated with ππ« ππ«π’ππ§ π. ππ¨π±, a Cornell Law School lecturer, visiting scholar at the University of Ottawa, and retired U.S. Army officer with 22 years' service — including seven as a military lawyer and deployments in Iraq and Afghanistan.Hear two different perspectives going head-to-head on one of the most contested reports about the conflict.Support the show: https://www.j-air.com.au/get-involved/membership/See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.
