So I once got homework assignment from an expert in my field saying, "You need to watch better movies." So... I started watching a new movie each week that's among the greatest movies of all time. And then with the lovely Mariah (and sometimes Pat) we chat about it. The podcast is called "How To Be A Movie Snob." Oscar Watch 2026 Continues! This week we watched the beautiful Train Dreams. Train Dreams is a film directed by Clint Bentley, based on Denis Johnson's novella, starring Joel Edgerton as Robert Grainier, a logger and railroad worker in the early 20th-century Pacific Northwest. This movie also stars William H. Macy, Felicity Jones, and Kerry Condon. Cinematography by the talented Adolpho Veloso.
