The Context of White Supremacy hosts the Counter-Racist Weekly Review 08/15/26. This broadcast examines current events from across the globe to learn what's happening in all areas of people activity. We cultivate Counter-Racist Media Literacy by scrutinizing journalists' word choices and using logic to deconstruct what is reported as "news." Robinson: Gus's sudden illness delayed the sharing of information with listeners about what has been going on at the Milwaukee County Courthouse. Julie Persinger, Judge Laura Crivello and the White Wisconsin gang has engaged in 4 months of lying, obstruction and Racism to withhold public records. Gus T. is working to maintain relentless pressure on the Racist goons to force the release of records pertaining to the death of Sade C. Robinson. The Suspicious Mississippi Deaths of Nolan Wells and Tasia Fortune: We hear updates on the tragic and bizarre death of black teen Nolan Wells. No one has been charged with is death, and his surviving White friends insist they are in danger from online threats and false allegations. We also review the suspicious death of Tasia Fortune, a black mother of four in Jackson, Mississippi. She is reported to have hung herself from a tree at an abandoned house. This seems like a massively suspicious event in a region with a long - and current - history of murdered black people being labeled as suicide deaths. Lack of Reading for Black Children During the Summer: A Louisiana report examines the "summer slide," where many black children shut their brain computers down during the summer months and, consequently, experience atrophy with reading comprehension and language skills after 3 good months of Netflixing and YouTube. Educators recommend summer book clubs to encourage children to continue reading while away from school. Gus suggests having your children join you for the Katherine Massey Book Club every Friday.
