Tales Vinyl Tells-stories record albums conveyAuthor: Brian Hallgren
Tales Vinyl Tells is my podcast that evolved into my radio show that airs weekly on RadioFreeNashville. I had quite a few LPs that I collected in the late 60s and 70s and I always knew the magic of the albums of that era of album-oriented rock brought back memories of times, people, smells, tastes and feelings. I hope it does for you too. Back-stories and album liner notes tie the tunes together. Im your host Brian Hallgren and you should hear the Tales Vinyl Tells! EPISODE 205: Salute To Steve Cropper And So Much More January 13, 2026 Ready for another hour of some of that great album rock from the 60s and 70s? Here it is! Tales Vinyl Tells, established Dec 2019 and now, this is episode 205 and we continue to learn about the artists that made that era of music so great are passing on and entering into the room next door, according to photographer Henry Diltz. We just saw that the Grateful Dead’s cofounder and leader has also passed. More with Bobby Weir in a soon episode. I’m Brian Hallgren and we got notice that some others won’t make this show. Like Jackson Lamb, Carol Sturka, Cosmo Kramer nor Vincent Furnier. They don’t know what they’ll be missing but you’ll know if you hang with me this hour as we salute the great Steve Cropper. What a history this guitarist leaves behind!! Hopefully the psychotic reaction will be only on wax. We may cry. It’s ok. This life goes on. Booker T and the MGs is the music under me.
