Andrew Painter has finally arrived in the big leagues, but it hasn't been smooth sailing. After a brutal 2025 season in Triple-A where he posted a 5.40 ERA in 22 starts with the Lehigh Valley IronPigs, the top pitching prospect is carrying that inconsistency into his MLB debut. Just this week, Painter was lit up by the Athletics — surrendering 7 runs in just 3⅔ innings — as his fastball command issues continue to plague him. Is this just rookie growing pains, or is there a bigger issue with the former No. 1 pitching prospect?
