About the author - Yorkshire-born Janet Killeen completed her Master's degree in English Literature and then went onto teach in London for over thirty five years. During her teaching career she also gained experience of Counselling and Consultancy training at the Tavistock Institute. Now retired, and living in South-East London, she values friendships, travel and writing. In the past ten years she began to explore those issues of faith and doubt, time, place and choice that have been developed in her two collections of short stories, 'Recognition' and 'There is a Season'.She has now written four empowering books for children.
