My Year In Music will immerse the listener in the world of music as it unfolds throughout 2022. Based around the experiences of BBC Radio 1 Sound of 2022 nominee Baby Queen in her make or break year, each episode will act as an audio diary as she finishes her debut album, plays arena shows for the first time and discovers her own definition of success. Each monthly update will explore her highs and lows before host Jimmy Blake (BBC Radio 1, 4Music, BBC News) checks in with a key figure in the world of music to dig deeper into one of the topics hes just discussed with Baby Queen. From tour managers and producers to venue owners and other artists, each episode will give a cross-section of the music business an element of the industry and find out how 2022 is panning out for various parts of the industry. Acting as an educational tool for the next generation of music professionals and the journey of an emerging artist in 2022, we genuinely have no idea where My Year in Music will take Baby Queen or how its going to end...
