Trent Williams knows how much the 49ers need him. The star left tackle is a shrewd businessman who has navigated complex contract negotiations with his agent, Vincent Taylor, in the past. So with NFL free agency set to begin in March, it should come as no surprise that Williams is eager to sort out his status with the team in the near future. When 49ers GM John Lynch met with reporters at the NFL Combine in Indianapolis this week, Williams wasn’t the only player who was on Lynch’s mind.
