Old Forester High Angels' Share Rye released in March 2026 as part of their limited The 117 Series. Out of all the bottles we've reviewed from this series, this is definitely one of the most unique. Rumored to contain 12 year old whiskey, this 110-proof Kentucky straight rye was pulled from rare barrels that suffered exceptionally high evaporation loss, leaving behind a highly concentrated, rich flavor profile. We've gotten all kind of different tasting notes on rye whiskey, but the major note that we all got on this pour was equally surprising and pleasing.
