Episode 147
Thursday, 29 October, 2026

What does it look like to navigate the modern landscape of women's hockey on your own terms? This week on Rinkside Rundown, I’m joined by Minnesota State graduate and HV71 forward Kennedy Bobyck.Kennedy opens up about growing up around technical hockey development in Saskatchewan, playing for Carla MacLeod at Edge School, and her five seasons with the Mavericks. We discuss how studying psychology impacted her mental approach in the crease and on the ice, her leadership evolution as an assistant captain, and making the leap to professional hockey in Sweden with HV71 while navigating PWHL free agency.Note: This episode was recorded prior to the 2026 PWHL Draft. Heading into this offseason, Kennedy elected to take the free agency route and is preparing to join PWHL San Jose as a camp invite this fall.Catch the full episode at the link in bio.
