Lisa Rimmert started her journey in St. Louis performing improv, but discovered a love of stand-up. She and Dan discuss how hard it has been to start over again and again, the costs of performing, and the challenges of working in small markets. She tells Dan about bombing at the Seattle Comedy Competition, the differences in performing at competitions versus regular shows, and the feeling of being down and it being against you. Lisa RimmertLisa Rimmert is a standup comedian and award-winning author, a military spouse who wouldn’t hurt a fly, and a childfree champion who looks like a soccer mom. She shines on stage, turning these everyday contradictions into razor-sharp jokes delivered with heartland humility. She has performed all over the country with headliners like Bobcat Goldthwait, TJ Miller, Moshe Kasher, Zoltan Kaszas, and Steve Hofstetter.
