Wrestling Art Ep. 119 - 'The Joy of Lucha' Post-Show Special Solo Edition
Wednesday, 7 October, 2026
Episode 119 is here pals! Now that'The Joy of Lucha Libre with Chris Things' is done & dusted, I thought I'd do a special little post-show debrief solo-edition of the show to yammer on about it for a bit. In my stream-of-consciousness one-sided ramble chat I pull the curtain back a little bit to talk about my feelings leading up to & coming out of the big exhibition. I'm talking my worries, my challenges, the unforeseen bits & pieces, the journey in creating my own latest collection of work for the show, the group-show element, putting together a 'gallery-wrestling-match' & just all of the things. I also chat a super fun & rewarding Brisbane Illustration Fair from this past weekend. Hope some folks find this stuff interesting. Either way, felt kind of nice to talk about it all just for my own sanity's sake.Thank you again so very much to all of the talented artists from all around the world who were a part of this, to our wrestlers; Cockroach of Wacols Most Wanted & 'El Tigre' AKA Velkan Wild, to Lucha Fantastica, to Aaron Craig & Superwow Gallery & to our sponsors. And of course to everyone who came along & who supported my through this big-time bucket list item of my art life.Enjoy!!Check out ChrisThings.com.au for my own original art, prints, calendars, books & much more!Follow us on Instagram: @ChrisThings, @SocialSuplexFollow us on Twitter: @ChrisThings, @SocialSuplexFacebook: SocialSuplexJoin our Discord: https://discord.gg/QUaJfaCVisit our website for news, columns, and podcasts: https://socialsuplex.com/Join the Social Suplex community Facebook Group: The Wrestling (Squared) CircleWrestling-Art with Chris Things is the Pro-Wrestling Art niche Podcast of the Social Suplex Podcast Network.
