Debbie Moves to Tulsa: Dueling Pianos, Folk Salad, and a City JobIn this fourth episode of "Rediscovering Debbie Campbell," we have the pleasure of talking with Jon Glazer, Scott Aycock, and Chuck DeWalt, all former bandmates of Debbie's. This episode takes us to the Tulsa music scene during the 1970s, which cultivated a unique atmosphere and laid the foundation for the city's current music scene.  Act 1: We talk to Debbie’s keyboardist, Jon Glazer, who shares his memories of her and her music. He recounts his diverse musical career, including stints in Dueling Pianos and touring with Winona Judd, before returning to Tulsa and reconnecting with Debbie. Glazer also discusses the ups and downs of the Tulsa music scene, highlighting the challenges faced by local musicians.  Act 2: Scott Aycock reminisces about his early encounters with Debbie and the impact she had on him as a young musician. We also delve into the evolution of Scott's radio show, "Folk Salad," from its inception to its current format, emphasizing the importance of authenticity and connection in audio storytelling. Additionally, Scott discusses his involvement in hosting house concerts, providing traveling musicians with intimate venues to showcase their talents.
