Episode 231
Monday, 16 February, 2026
Send a textTemperatures are on the move this week and not quietly. We’re stepping into a much more active and unsettled pattern across southern New England, with multiple chances for precipitation and plenty to watch as the atmosphere keeps shifting gears. That means one big focus right now: ice safety. Changing temperatures and variable conditions can make ice incredibly unpredictable, so awareness and smart decision-making are key as we head deeper into February. At the same time, something powerful is happening above us. The Sun is climbing higher, and daylight is increasing in bigger and brighter chunks. You can feel it. The angle of the Sun continues to rise, the daylight stretches longer, and even with storms in the mix, the seasonal transition is underway. What does that mean for temperatures, snowpack, and the weeks ahead? We’re breaking it all down with the Weekly Weather Preview — Episode #231 of Obsessed with the Weather! Enjoy!
