The outbreaks seem to be getting worse every time, causing them to face life-and-death struggles in order to contain the viruses they come up against. Fighting the diseases usually leads the pathologists to remote and isolated locations, but failure to make the journeys could prevent efforts to contain the outbreaks and lead to annihilation of mankind. AFTERBUZZ TV — Helix edition, is a weekly "after show" for fans of Helix. In this episode host Zach Wilson breaks down Episode 13 of Season 2. There to help Zach are co-hosts Liz Rishmawy, and Stephen Lemieux, along with special guest Steven Maeda. Helix is an American science fiction thriller-drama television series that premiered on Syfy on January 10, 2014. The series follows a team of scientists from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention who travel to a research facility in the Arctic to investigate a potential outbreak of disease. While there, they find themselves stuck in a life-or-death situation that could decide the future of humankind. The executive producers of Helix are Ronald D. Moore, Lynda Obst, Steven Maeda, and Cameron Porsandeh, with Maeda serving as day-to-day showrunner. The first season consisted of 13 episodes.
