This conversation will serve many, not only Black mothers raising Black sons. In light of current events, the Black Lives Matter movement and what we know to be true for centuries about systematic oppression of Black people in society, we have been more so than ever been puzzling about these conversations. What do we tell our sons? Where do we go from here to support the development of young Black boys in our communities?
