Dungeons 'n' DuragsAuthor: The Lorehounds
After living his entire adult life in a predominantly white world, Ron had a "come to Jesus" moment with the election of Donald Trump and the rise of MAGA on the wings of the evangelical church. After writing his satirical memoir of the same name, the semi-conservative devoted Christian is now a progressive agnostic atheist. And he has finally joined the proverbial cookout (unfortunately, he didnt get the memo that you dont bring boiled Kraft mac & cheese, but thats a whole different story.) This is the classic fish out of water story as his Black BFFs constantly keep him on his toes, making him earn that Black Card, while they discuss everything from politics to pop culture. Every episode is filled with laughter, levity, and NSFW conversations.Join the fun each week at https://www.youtube.com/@dungeonsndurags Follow Ron's biting satirical takes on faith and philosophy at tiktok.com/@blerdronnerRead the book that started it all at dndbook.com Language: en-us Genres: News, Politics, TV & Film, TV Reviews Contact email: Get it Feed URL: Get it iTunes ID: Get it |

Back in 2021, season 1 of the show was very different than what you are getting now. It was an audio documentary series with me, J.D., and his wife, Yolanda. They're hilarious and follow my journey of reconnecting with the Black community. Between our usual film and TV reviews, we'll bring you these episodes for your entertainment. Enjoy. ORIGINAL DESCRIPTION:Ron has lived his entire adult life as a Black man in a white world. Most of his friends were white, most of his co-workers were white, and he attended white hipster churches. Then in 2016 with the election of #45, everything changed. He had a crisis of faith and a racial identity crisis that sent him on a quest to reconnect with his blackness in a way he never has before. In this inaugural episode, meet Ron and his Black BFFs JD and Yolanda (whom he affectionately refers to as the “Dre & Bow” to his “Junior.”) Find out why this show exists and what to expect. Laughter will ensue.
