Doulos CorpScience Fiction Tabletop RPG Actual Play Author: Christopher Cornelius
Would you give up your life to escape a fate worse than death? The crew of Doulos Corporation transport ship DFT-7118 did. Or so theyre told when they wake up on a spaceship with no memories, new identities, a surgically implanted earpiece, and a lifetime contract with the company. If life holds only tragedy, who wouldn't be tempted by a lifetime of job security and getting to escape every pain, every sorrow, every fear, every fate? If you can trust what the company says. Or what anyone says. The crew searches for answers about Doulos and themselves - who they were, who they are now, and who they will be. And wondering if any of it even matters. And they have a few adventures along the way. Who would you be if it were as simple as making the choice? ---------- Doulos Corp is written by me. Well, it's mainly a collection of my favorite scenes, characters, moments, tropes, situations, and cliches from all my favorite space rogues science fiction. The setting is therefore largely inspired by blue collar science fiction like Space Truckers, Spacehunter, Ice Pirates, Alien Cargo, Firefly, Dark Matter, Killjoys, Alien, and Supernova, with a few ideas from Passengers. The rules mish mash system starts simple and gets more complex as the sessions go. But, the game is intended to be very much narrative-driven and rules light. --- This is an EDITED series of TABLETOP actual play - five people around a TABLE, imitation GoPro camera, microphone, sometimes sound effects and other media elements, always snacks and unusual soft drinks. Each three-hour game session is edited down to less than two hours. The YouTube series has every game session divided into between 5 and 9 titled chapter episodes. The audio podcast is one session per episode with links to the video chapters in the show notes. --- Videos - https://www.youtube.com/playlist?listPLOoBVYVhNXA3kURpoOeFzpf1JlBWT311l Podcast - https://christophercornelius.com/podcast RSS - https://christophercornelius.com/feed/podcast iTun Language: en-us Genres: Arts, Fiction, Performing Arts, Science Fiction Contact email: Get it Feed URL: Get it iTunes ID: Get it |
