Ricky faces a major career decision, Coach Hudson receives life-changing news, and Russ learns that his second chance may require him to become a better person instead of simply playing one. The season ends with Gerry attempting to sabotage Chad, Tricia stepping in to protect Russ, Ricky considering a coaching job at Syracuse, and Coach Hudson announcing his retirement due to health concerns. Lila and Amisha plan to demonstrate the weapon before selling it through the dark web. Congressman John Sampson recognizes the suicide bomber at his fundraiser and tackles him into the river moments before the device detonates, apparently sacrificing himself to prevent a mass-casualty attack. Macon responds to their investigation with the ultimate display of confidence, stripping naked and ordering former art student John Stewart to draw him. The investigation also exposes Hector Gutierrez as a decoy connected to alien technology. The much larger revelation is that Zoe Macon is the Manhunter the Lanterns have been searching for. Her apparent death, survival, and confession to John suggest that she may be more complicated than the murderous machine everyone expects.
