Lauren Jones is starring as Kim in the UK premiere of Scissorhandz.Produced by Bradley Bredeweg, Kelley Parker and Brian Pendleton, along with co-producers Lance Bass and Michelle Visage, Scissorhandz is a reinvention of Tim Burton’s Edward Scissorhands. The pop-musical parody features songs by Taylor Swift, Lady Gaga, Alanis Morissette and more. In addition to playing Kim, Lauren also understudies the title role. After graduating from ArtsEd, Lauren appeared in the world premiere of The Magician's Elephant for the RSC. Lauren was the alternate Bonnie in both West End runs of Bonnie & Clyde before returning to the show for its UK tour. She also led the company in the UK premiere of Rebecca at the Charing Cross Theatre to huge acclaim.In this episode, Lauren discusses how Scissorhandz has evolved for its UK production, why Bonnie & Clyde is such a major chapter in her career and all of the brilliant madness that came with Rebecca.Scissorhandz runs at Southwark Playhouse Elephant until 29th March.
