KAXE/KBXE Youth In Radio! Youth In Radio and encourages youth ages 19 and younger to explore the art of radio broadcasting right here at Northern Community Radio. Youth In Radio participants will create their very own radio segment or podcast to be aired on NCRs Morning Show. Students will be guided along the way, as they plan, write, rehearse, record, and edit their own show. Radio is relevant! Radio is real! This Youth in Radio features the Grand Rapids Southwest Elementary's Youth in Radio 2020 crew. Students Noah, Adelynn, Leo, Abbey and Willa interview their classroom volunteer Chris Ohland. Chris is from England and the kids ask her questions and learn a lot about her homeland. They learn about the weather, the food, British traditions and have a fun discussion about the Beatles.
