Ignatian Solidarity Network When my college students ask me, “What can I possibly do?” in response to growing hate, violence, and oppressive rhetoric, I often point to Martín-Baró’s example. Using his skills as a faith-filled social scientist and educator, Martín-Baro demonstrated that we can apply our knowledge and skills to the work of liberation.
