What product should I choose? It can be hard to make decisions, when there are so many options around you and marketing campaigns that spend billions to get you to buy their products. That's why we're here, to tell you the truth about agriculture, right from the horse's mouth-er farmer's mouth. Jenna Hardy and Joy Nystrom are two 20-something, millennial farmers who are going to ask all the questions you may have, and answer the questions that you never knew you had about agriculture so that you can make informed decisions, based on what you learn. Can vodka be made from milk? Yes. This week we dive into Dairy Distillery and find out how one engineer went from being a basement moonshiner to making vodka from milk. Vodkow is made from milk permeate- a waste product that comes from dairy products. Omid McDonald heard that this waste was being dumped and that farmers had to pay for it, so he thought- why don't we use that waste and make alcohol.
