Send us a textArya learns much and more in the House of Black and White despite being completely blind. When she cracks a riddle, she awakens to find her sight returned. Mackelly and Simon feel their pupils dilate.Chapter Review:Arya Stark’s education continues apace in the House of Black and White. Without her sight she’s developing her four other senses. In addition, she’s learning languages, potions, and poisons. More painfully she’s learning how to defend herself against silent assailants in the dark. It’s not going well. Her duties involve locating and helping prepare the night’s corpses. She tries to infer the stories of the dead from the touch of their skin; disease, wounds, old age, and so on. In the evening she begs in the city’s watering holes and is charged to return with three knew pieces of information. She’s acquired a friendly cat through whom she can, when she stills her mind, see the people she’s spying on.When the Kindly Man asks her for her new intelligence, she tells him that she’s figured out that it is him who’s been attacking her in the dark. She hits him on the knuckles with her staff. He’s amazed that she’s figured it out, not noticing the cat prowling the rafters.
