In today's episode, I'm sharing something that happened at a retreat I hosted recently — watching three women who know each other well slowly put down the performance they'd each been carrying, and discover that underneath their very different stories they were all longing for exactly the same thing. Intimacy. To be truly known. I opened the retreat with healing and grounding work and asked them: what did you bring with you that you didn't intend to? All three said some version of the same thing. A mask. A show. A version of themselves that wasn't quite true. Today's episode is about the exhaustion of the performance and the intimacy waiting on the other side of putting it down.
